Dr. Alysia Ferguson

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Ferguson graduated in 1999 from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a very patient and thorough veterinarian. She has two dogs, Boo and Ginger; and cats, Tom and Magnus. Dr. Ferguson says, “I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I enjoy the challenge of both medicine and surgery. There is no better job in the world for an animal lover.”

Dr. Brian Anton

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Anton graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine where he also received his Masters in aquatic animal health. He is passionate about wildlife species and has published research on fish toxicology and sea turtle disease. Before coming to LPC he worked as a veterinary intern rotating through zoos and rehabilitation centers. In his free time he enjoys being outdoors and can be found skiing, windsurfing, or riding his bike.

Dr. Amy Kizer

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Kizer graduated in 2002 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her work at Lexington Pet Clinic, Dr. Kizer is also the staff veterinarian for Sea Life Aquarium in the Mall of America. She is a sought out speaker in exotic and aquatic animal medicine and is an instructor at the University of Minnesota in non-traditional pets. She resides in Savage with her family which includes three children, one dog, and a very patient husband!

Dr. Jennifer Terhark

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Terhark has always had a passion for animals and began working in the veterinary field in 2012. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul before attending veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. She is passionate about partnering with clients and working together to provide the best possible care for their animals. Outside of her work at LPC, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending as much time as she can with her Golden Retriever, Max, and her cats, Zeus and Nala.

Chad Stevenson

Certified Veterinary Technician
Practice Manager

Chad graduated from North Dakota State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. He has experience with companion and exotic animals as well as an interest in animal behavior. He resides in Bloomington with his partner, Matt, a shih tzu named Mila, a cat named Hosta and three silkie chickens.

Dana

Certified Veterinary Technician

Dana grew up knowing she had a passion for working with animals. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and with her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Dakota County Technical College in August 2022. She started as a veterinary technician intern at LPC in May of 2022, which is when she quickly found a love for exotic animal medicine. Dana also has experience with dog training and behavior, as she interned with a service dog program during her time at UW-River Falls where she trained diabetic alert and mobility assistance dogs. Dana’s love for service dogs and training came from her experience growing up alongside her parents’ hearing assistance dogs, Nala and Ily. She loves spending her time outdoors, watching her favorite shows, or hanging out with her handsome leopard gecko named Chicken.

Melissa

Veterinary Technician

Melissa graduated in 2009 from Argosy University with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She is happy to return to Lexington Pet Clinic after being one of the clinics first intern’s in 2008! She is grateful to be able to share her love for helping animals with fellow staff and clientele. Outside of work, she enjoys being with her family including her fur babies: 2 dogs (Betty the beagle and Goomba the Pekingese) and cat (Vinny the Persian).

Katie

Certified Veterinary Technician

Katie graduated in August 2015 from Argosy University with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She completed her clinical training at the MN Zoo and at the Wildlife Rehab Center of MN. In the past she has worked at the New England Aquarium in Boston rehabilitating sea turtles, and at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth. Her biggest passions in the veterinary field are exotics and wildlife, and she loves that she gets to learn something new everyday.  

Angie

Veterinary Technician

Angie graduated from Argosy University with a Veterinary Technology degree in 2015. She is very passionate for all kinds of animals, though her biggest interest in the veterinary field is exotics and felines. Angie has volunteered at multiple rescues and shelters, such as The Animal Humane Society, Feline Rescue Inc, and The Wildcat Sanctuary. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her cat, Xena & snuggling Hanz, a Polish Dwarf rabbit.

Emily (Millie)

Certified Veterinary Technician

Emily attended Argosy University. She transferred and finished her classes at Dakota County Technical College when Argosy closed, and graduated in 2019. Emily has always loved animals, especially reptiles and amphibians! She hopes to broaden her experience with exotics and is excited to be able to work with them on a daily basis. At home she has one cat named Lulu lemon (not named after the leggings brand!). Her favorite part of the day is when she gets to snuggle with Lulu in a pile of warm blankets.

Holly

Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

I have been a certified veterinary technician since 2017. I graduated from Argosy University with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Science in 2016. I have lived in Eagan since 2013 with my husband and daughter. We have 3 border collies (Benjin, Ned, and Birdie), two cats (Stella and Sam), and a painted turtle (Brownie Thunder). I began working at Lexington Pet Clinic in the fall of 2023, and I absolutely love it! Outside of work my hobbies include: hiking, traveling, and playing frisbee with my dogs. 

 

Anna

Veterinary Assistant

Anna graduated from Hamline University in 2020 with a degree in Digital Media Arts. After graduating, Anna realized that she was meant to work with animals. She began her veterinary career at the only full-service nonprofit veterinary hospital in the Midwest. At LPC, Anna’s favorite patients are the rodents of all shapes and size! During her free time, Anna enjoys snuggling with her one-eyed, 5-year-old Lionhead rabbit mix, Gunther and hanging out with her friends.

Lily

Veterinary Assistant

Lily is currently a student at the University of Minnesota studying Animal Science. She is working towards applying to veterinary medical school and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a variety of species at LPC! Lily hopes to expand her expertise in caring for and treating exotics in a clinical setting. In her spare time, Lily enjoys watching movies with her golden retriever Indiana Jones and King Cavalier Oscar as well as crafting!

 

 

 

Danielle

Lead Customer Service Representative & Veterinary Assistant

Danielle joined the National Guard in 2015 and shortly after graduated with her degree in criminal justice. While working in the criminal justice field she realized that her true passion was working with animals. During her free time she enjoys going to the gym, shopping and spending time with her husband and cat Poncho. 

Stephanie

Customer Service Representative

Stephanie has developed a passion over the years for senior and hospice dogs & cats. But she also loves exotic animals of all shapes and sizes! She shares her home with many rescued critters, including three senior dogs, two senior cats, nine guinea pigs, a hedgehog, a blue-tongued skink, two crested geckos, two ball pythons, three comet goldfish, and an axolotl. Her favorite patients at LPC are the guinea pigs! In her free time, she enjoys thrift shopping, listening to music, and spending time outside with her dogs.

Kristin

Lead Customer Service Representative

Kristin graduated from The University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Biology in 2010. It was there that she developed a passion for fish while living on Lake Superior. She moved back to the Twin Cities and got a job at Sea Life Mall of America specializing in Seahorses, Sea Dragons and all things aquatic. She hopes to continue to pursue her passion for animals here at the clinic. In her spare time, Kristin loves spending time with her family and is kept very busy with her children, Lucy and Theodore.

Hannah

Customer Service Representative

Hannah graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2018 with a double major in Anthropology and Human Services with an emphasis in Social Justice. Most of her background work is with at risk youth in both residential treatment and school systems working with mental health and behavior disorders. She is now extending trauma-informed care to furry family members of clients to help serve the twin cities community in their pet's times of sickness and health. When she's not working Hannah enjoys writing creatively, painting murals, playing video games with her friends, the great outdoors, and snuggling with her two kitties Pepper and Finnegan. 

Juno

Customer Service Representative

Juno graduated from Evergreen State College with a Bachelor's of Arts in communications in 2018. Since then they have worked in nature education, veterinary and human health reception. In 2022, Juno rescued and rehomed over 50 kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs, as well as volunteered at a local wildlife rescue rehabbing mostly birds native to New Mexico. Juno is a multimedia artist who is passionate about ecology, interspecies communication, care-work and coordination, and aspires to be a horticultural therapist. When they're not working, Juno attends yoga classes and community acupuncture, cooks delicious meals without recipes, reads tarot and astrology, and spends time with loved ones. They live in Minneapolis with their calico princess named Duckie, a goldendoodle named Remus, and a collection of happy house plants.
